Wedding Dress Questions to Ask Before Your Appointment
Ahead of your appointment, here are some frequently asked questions we get in store. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, reach out via email or phone to talk to us we are happy to help in any way we can.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments are advised so we can book you the changing room and ensure to quality service we endeavour to provide. We can spend the time talking to you about your wedding and what you want or need for your dress while trying our beautiful collection.
What is your size range for trying on?
Our samples in store start at a size 10 and go up to a size 22. We have lots of new collections dresses that are ready to order for you in sizes 6-32.
Who can I bring with me on the day?
We recommend 2/3 people that you want to help you make the decision. To maximise space and time with us it is important we hear what you want for your wedding dress and all about the big day you are so carefully planning. More voices and opinions can make this difficult for you
How long is my appointment?
We dedicate 90 minutes for bridal, but you are never rushed and if we need more time we will strive to accommodate this.
Bridesmaids have 60 minutes and Prom also has 60 minutes, but again if more time is needed we will help our customers.
Do you offer alterations?
We do not offer in house alterations but we can advise some very good alteration ladies who we have worked alongside for many years.
What are your prices like? Do you sell sample styles off the rail?
We are able to cater for most budgets. As a guide our full price dresses are between £299 – £2000. This all depends on what style you want, the designer and when your wedding is. We do also offer a sale rail in store that has off peg dresses from £89.
Can I take photos of my dress in the store?
Some shops have strict policies against taking photos of yourself in their wedding dresses, we do allow photos in our shop we just ask that you do not share them with anyone else other than the bride
Do you have accessories in store?
Yes, we have overskirts, veils, tiaras, combs and headbands all available to try during your appointment with us.
Do I have to pay in full?
If you are buying a sale dress payment is required in full. If we are ordering a brand new dress we ask for a 50% deposit and the balance is due when it arrives in.
How long does it take for dresses to arrive?
Dresses can take upto 6 months to arrive with us. Add into that any alterations that may have to done and other delays out of our control it’s best to start looking for your dress about 18 months before the wedding date.
Do you have dresses I can take on the day?
We always have a sale rail of dresses to buy off the peg for weddings that are within 6 months. You can also buy a dress off the rail if you don’t want to wait for a new one, or just want a bargain!
